Jeff and his bagpipes

Tonight Jeff played Amazing Grace on his bagpipes at the evening service at Church.

He was somewhat tricked into doing it. Our choir director, and friend, asked him to bring his bagpipes to church "to see how loud they would be in the sanctuary", which actually meant.......get them here and I will have you play. Ha!! So surprisingly Jeff ended up playing for the evening service and he did a great job. He said had he known that he would've been playing he would've dressed a little more appropriately.

I love this smile!!!

I am so proud of him. He started taking lessons January 7th 2010. For the past year he learned how to play the chanter. It wasn't until before Thanksgiving that he got his actual bagpipes. Then he had to start learning how to play the bagpipe. At his last lesson before Christmas his instructor gave him the music for Amazing Grace. He has worked so hard at learning it. In a year he went from knowing nothing about music to actually reading music and playing one of the hardest instruments there is to play. He has a lot of determination when he puts his mind to doing something. He lifted up a beautiful sound tonight for the Lord and did a great job!!
